- By accepting this Agreement, you expressly consent to uses and disclosures of Your Information as set out in the Company's then current Privacy Policy, which is incorporated within this document.
- The Company holds Your Information on a database and as part of the business System strictly in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- The Company will make user profile information registered including ratings and comments from Members in relation to historic Jobs available for Members and non-Members to see at any stage on the Website.
- If for any reason you do not wish any or all of Your Information to be used in the way set out in these Terms and Conditions then please do not use the Services of the Company.
- The Company is happy to provide, on request from a Member a copy of any data held by the Company on the requesting Member on receipt of proof of identity. For this service the Company reserves the right to charge an amount to cover administrative costs, the level of which shall be communicated to the Member at such time.
- Members may only use contact information obtained from the Website or any information obtained through a Company communication for communications relating to specific Job inquiries which have been notified to the Member via the Service or the Website.
- Members agree not to use any personal contact information of any other Member provided via the Service or the Website for any unsolicited or commercial messages save as expressly authorised by these Terms and Conditions or where expressly authorised by the particular Member following adequate disclosure of the purpose(s). In addition, a Member agrees to only use such information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation data protection and privacy laws.
- In addition, under no circumstances, except as defined in this Section, can a Member disclose personally identifiable information about another Member to any Third Party obtained as a result of the Services without the Company's consent and the consent of such other Member after adequate disclosure.
2. Information that we collect and store
We only collect, store or use information that we consider necessary for the purpose of providing the best service possible to all of our customers and stakeholders. You are free to browse our website without providing any personal information to us.
Customers who wish to use our Better Home Service must register and provide us with their name, contact details and a secure password. We ask Suppliers for specific personal, business, legal and other information including their trade, specific skills, working preferences and payment details. We store this information on our secure server.
We also hold all information related to specific Job requirements, including the Job description, skills required, start date, any quotes provided and all updates, communications and ratings in connection with the Work.
For quality control and training purposes, we may monitor or record your communication with our Business Support Centre.
3. How we use this information
We check the accuracy of the information that you provide on registration and remind you of your obligations to provide accurate information to us as set out in Section 2 of our Service Agreement. We may use the contact information you provide to contact you via email, fax, post, SMS or telephone regarding your registration, or any other matter that we consider relevant to your use of our Service.
We forward Detailed Job Leads to a registered local (and) affiliated Service Suppliers who act as sub-contractors to the Company. The information we send on Detailed Job Leads will give a contact name, the address and summary information about the job.
You will have full online access, using a username and password, to your information which you can edit at anytime. Additionally, you will see complete Job or Service information performed by us at your premises.
We may use any information we collect about you, including any information we may have obtained from your use of the Service, to resolve disputes, provide customer support, troubleshoot problems and enforce our Service Agreement and policies. We may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes. In the unlikely event that fees remain unpaid on a Customer’s account, we may pass your business information to an external collection or credit agency.
We may disclose your personal data if we are compelled to do so by law, or in response to a valid, legally compliant request by a law enforcement or governmental authority. We may also disclose aggregated demographic and profile data (in which neither you nor any other individual is identified) to our commercial and marketing partners.
4. Security measures
To prevent unauthorised access, maintain accuracy of our records and to ensure proper use and protection of Your Information, we have put appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures in place.
We use the latest 256-bit SSL encryption technology to endeavour to ensure that sensitive data transmitted to and from our server cannot be accessed by external parties. We further encrypt all passwords and other sensitive information such as payment details.
